Day 1 – England to France

We meet early morning in Folkestone before crossing the Channel and heading south through France. The journey takes us deep into the heart of the country, arriving in Troyes by late afternoon. This beautiful medieval city offers time to explore its cobbled streets, timber-framed houses and cathedral before we relax together in our wonderful spa hotel.
Day 2 – Into the Alps

After breakfast we cover some motorway miles, making swift progress toward the mountains. By lunchtime we cross into Switzerland, where the scenery changes dramatically. From here the roads become quieter, more flowing and far more engaging as we head towards the foothills of the alps, arriving in Sachseln by late afternoon.
With the evening free, we take advantage of quieter roads to enjoy a spectacular run up the Grimsel Pass, returning in time for dinner and stories of the day’s driving.

Day 3 – The Ultimate Pass Day

Today is what this tour is all about. From our hotel we climb straight into the mountains, tackling a legendary sequence of Alpine passes:
 • Susten Pass
 • Gotthard Pass
 • Furka Pass
 • Nufenen Pass
 • Simplon Pass

By late afternoon we descend into Italy and arrive at our hotel on the shores of Lake Maggiore, where the evening is spent relaxing beside the water.
Day 4 – Ferries, Hidden Passes & Stelvio

We begin with a ferry crossing on Lake Maggiore, before heading for the roads that surround lake Como. From there we head into lesser-known mountain roads, avoiding the crowds and enjoying some of the Alps’ best hidden driving.
We stop for lunch in St. Moritz before continuing to Bormio, nestled at the foot of the legendary Stelvio Pass. Arriving mid-afternoon gives everyone time to take on Stelvio in the evening, when traffic is lighter and the road is at its best, before regrouping in town for dinner at one of our favourite local restaurants.

Day 5 – More Alpine Magic

Leaving Bormio, we head back toward St. Moritz before turning onto more spectacular high-mountain roads, including the beautiful St. Bernardino Pass and another of our favourite “unknown” routes.
By late afternoon we roll into Andermatt, one of the great Alpine driving hubs. We stay at one of our favourite hotels here, renowned for its comfort, service and perfect location, giving everyone the chance to relax and unwind after several unforgettable days behind the wheel.
Day 6 – Switzerland to the Black Forest

We leave Andermatt heading back into the mountains, taking on the Klausen Pass, a narrow, technical and hugely rewarding road. From here we drop down to the motorway near Zürich, heading north into Germany before joining the famous B500.
This iconic Black Forest road delivers flowing corners, forested scenery and superb driving all the way to our final hotel, located on the German–French border at the top of the Black Forest.
Day 7 – Homeward Bound

We leave the Black Forest in the morning and enjoy one final day of European driving as we head back toward the Channel Tunnel. An early-evening crossing gives us a relaxed, unhurried run back to the UK.
A Truly Unforgettable Journey

From Italian lakes to Swiss mountain giants and Germany’s legendary forest roads, this tour delivers a perfect mix of spectacular scenery, thrilling driving, outstanding hotels and incredible food.
